Green scale inhibitor has been the development direction of scale inhibitor of the 21th century due to its high scale inhibition,excellent biodegradability and non-toxicity.The variety,performance,application and advancement of green scale inhibitor arisen in recent years are reviewed in detail.Green scale inhibitor can be divided into three classes:crude polymer,copolymer and new green scale inhibitor,in which polyepoxysuccinci acid (PESA) and polyaspartic acid (PASP) are the focus of green scale research.In addition,the problems existed in the research and application of green scale inhibitor are analyzed and the emphasis and direction of this study in the future are prospected at the end.
