A newtype of membrane bioreactor(MBR) , in which the microfilter membrane (MF) is coupled with the floatingbiofilmcarrier, has been developed and researched. The experimental results showthat it is feasible for this newintegrated biofilmMBR to put into application. This newMBR is characteristics of high organic loading, excellent effluent quality, stability to shocking loading and small footprints. Under the conditions of the influent CODCr < 2 500 mg/L, 30% biofilmmedia volume rate, the effluent quality can reach the standards of the wastewater reuse .
