It mainly introduces a modified method about regenerative operation of cation exchanger. Regenerative dose ratio could be down to 1.1 by the orthogonal test to find the best parameter. The method has been adopted in the plant of Daqing Petrochemical Company, and reduced the consumption of H₂SO₄ and the amount of the NaOH in the regenerative waste liquid. Its economic profit is remarkable.
