Corrosion and scale inhibition efficiency of AEC water treatment program for the Yellow River water under conditions of 6 cycles of concentration has been studied by using the method of dynamic simulation test. The results show that, at water conductivity over 6000 μS/cm, calcium hardness(as CaCO3) over 1200 mg/L and chloride over 1000 mg/L, the deposit rates of carbon steel and brass test tubes, and the corrosion rates of test tubes and coupons have all met the demands of National Petrochemical Industrial Company Standard. AEC program has excellent efficiency in corrosion and scale inhibition under the water conditions of high hardness, high alkalinity and high conductivity. When the cooling systems uses the Yellow River water as make up water, it runs safely and economically at high cycles of concentration.
