The type and characteristic of polymeric flocculants have great influence on sludge conditioning and dewatering property.The experimental results show that the molecule weight of polymeric flocculants is definitive factor, and the electric charge has little influence.An on-line flocculation monitoring technique which can continuously monitor the flocculation process of sludge particle during sludge conditioning and dewatering process is applied, which forms a fully new technique of sludge flocculation monitoring method, and offers a possibility of process control of sludge conditioning operation.
