The application of cationic flocculant polydimethyldiallylammonium chloride-acrylamide(PDA)to the sludge dewatering of papermaking wastewater has been studied.The influences of dosage, electric charge density and relative average molecular weight of PDA on flocculating and dewatering results are discussed.The treating results of different flocculants are compared.The results show that the thicker the density of the electric charge is, the heavier the relative molecular weight is, and the better the results of flocculating and dewatering are.Compared with inorganic flocculant PAC, under the same conditions, the flocculating and dewatering efficiencies of the self-made flocculant PDA is obviously superior to those of other commercial ones.
