Study on the combination of advanced oxidation process and the reuse of municipal wastewater

Abstract

The removal rate of COD and NH3 - N from municipal wastewater with the combination technologies of advanced oxidation:UV/O3、UV/TiO2 and UV/O3/TiO2 are compared. The operation parameters of UV/O3/TiO2 are optimized.The results show that the technology of UV/O3/TiO2 is more efficient for the removal of COD and NH3 - N. Within 2 h,the removal rate of COD and NH3 - N can be 90% and 70% respectively. The treated water can be reused in electric power plant.
