This article summarizes the present situation and characters of seawater as circulating cooling water. It indicates the mechanism of corrosion,scaling and marine organism,and it also puts forward the corresponding corrosion control,scaling control and marine organism control during the procession of seawater circulating cooling. At the end,it discusses the evaluation of economic effect and environmental effect of the technology of seawater as circulating cooling water.
