Removal of chromium(Ⅵ) from water by batch-type foam separation

摘要:

采用间歇式泡沫分离法分离废水中的Cr(Ⅵ),系统地考察了废水pH、表面活性剂烷基糖苷(APG)的质量浓度和空气流量对Cr(Ⅵ)脱除效果的影响。实验结果表明:当废水Cr(Ⅵ)质量浓度为20mg/L、处理量为3L时,其最佳工艺条件为pH=5.5、空气流量400 mL/min、表面活性剂质量浓度200 mg/L和反应时间4 h,脱除率为97.91%。根据泡沫分离与化学反应过程在物理行为上的类似性,引入等效的化学反应常数,对实验方法进行了宏观动力学研究。结果表明,该泡沫分离过程可等效为一级反应,其宏观动力学方程为rA=0.4025CA。

Abstract:

Batch-type foam separation process has been used for removing chromium(Ⅵ) from wastewater.The effects of pH,concentration of surfactant APG and gas flow on the removal rate are investigated systematically.The results of orthogonal experiment show that when the concentration of chromium ions in water is 20 mg/L,the handling capacity is 3 L,its optimal operating conditions are as follows:wastewater pH is 5.5,gas flow 400 mL/min,concentration of APG 200 mg/L,and reaction time 4 h,the removal rate will be 97.91%.According to the similarity of physical behavior of foam separation process and chemical reaction process,the equivalent chemical reaction constant is introduced.The result indicates that the process of foam separation could be regarded as a first order reaction.The Macro-dynamic equations of the process is rA=0.402 5CA.
