Abstract

The preparation of nano-TiO2 by sonochemical hydrolysis of TiCl4 is introduced, and the mechanism of ultrasound is discussed. The effects of ultrasound and calcination temperature on the photocatalytic degradation of active dark blue ST-2GLN are experimentally investigated. The results show that ultrasound improves the photocatalytic capacity of nano-TiO2 greatly. Under the optimized conditions as follows:the nano-TiO2 obtained by calci nations at 300 ℃, the catalyst dosage is 1.0 g/L, temperature 25 ℃, ultraviolet irradiation 8 W(wave length 254 nm), and the aqueous solution initial concentration of activated dark blue ST-2GLN 30 mg/L, the degradation rate is up to 99.7% in 80 min.
