Abstract

M-MBBR is a new type of bioreactor which combines biofilm process and membrane separation process. The reactor′s structure is introduced, and its hydraulic characteristic, oxygen transfer and volumetric organic loading in M-MBBR are studied. The experimental results show that the average COD of the final effluent is less than 100 mg/Lwhen the influent CODis 400- 6 000 mg/Lwith volumetric organic loadingof0.7- 8.3 kg/(m3·d).
