The highly concentrated organic wastewater of flame retardants is treated by electro-Fenton method(CODCr = 17 108 mg/L). The optimal operat ion conditions include the following factors, pH=2.0~2.6, the current density is 10.8 ~ 14.3 A/dm2, the original concentration of H2O2 is 27 ~ 42 mmol/L, the original mass concentration of FeSO4 is 660 ~ 990 mg/L, the electrolyt ic time is 5 h. The CODCr removal efficiency is 98.34%,and utilization ratio of reagent and energy is 136.1%. The method not only utilizes the electrolytic oxi dation and electrolytic floatation, but also utilizes strong oxidation and chem istry flocculation function of Fenton reagent. GC - MS shows degradation produc t of wastewater which is treated by the above-mentioned method mainly is harmles s acetic acid.
