Efficiency of the denitrogenation and dephosphorization on the treatment of municipal sewage containing seawater in SBR process
Online published: 2010-10-01
SBR reactor is used to treat municipal sewage containing seawater. The effect of seawater salinity on the various treating efficiency of the biological reactor has been studied, giving technical support to seawater treatment after toilet-flushing. The results show that when the seawater concentration is below 30%, the SBR process works well. In SBR reactor, MLSS is 2 100 mg/L, COD volumet ric load is 0.3 ~ 1.0 kg/(m3<\sup>·d), at the anaerobic phase DO is 0.2 mg/L; at the aerobic phase DO is 2.0 ~ 3.0 mg/L, the reacting period is 8 ~ 12 h, the COD removal rate is above 87%, the NH4+ - N and TP removal rate is above 68%. At the same time, the effluent water SS reduces, as the salinity is getting higher, an d the sludge degradation is getting stronger gradually, too.
