Abstract

Wastewater from pharmaceutical industry is treated by oxidation - biotreatment process:treating quantity is 100 m3/d, inflow CODCr value is 1 000 ~ 4 000 mg/L. Most macromolecular compounds can be degraded by oxidation process. Biotreatment process include hydrolysis acidification and biological contact oxidation process. Hydrolysis acidification process is an effective pretreatment one of organic wastewater, especially for highly conc-entrated and refractory wastewater. It can improve the biodegradability. CODCr removal rate of biological contact oxidation process is over 97%. From its running in september, 2003 till now, all the quality indexes of treated water agree with the national discharge standard. The running results show that the treatment efficiency of the technology is stable, shock load resistance range is wide and the combination of processes is reasonable. Its future of industrial application is promising.
