Abstract

Based on the carbon source inconsistency in the process of nitrogen removal with sequence batch reactor,some means of how to improve the total nitrogen removal rate is considered. The concept of inner circulation rate of mixed liquid in sequence batch reactor is brought forward. And the calculation expressions of total nitrogen removal rate of sequence batch reactor is deduced based on the analysis of the relation between total nitrogen removal rate and inner circulation rate of mixed liquid. In addition,an improved running method of sequence batch reactor which can enhance the total nitrogen removal rate of the reactor is introduced. And the problem of how to combine the sequence batch reactor and new nitrogen removal process to improve the total nitrogen removal rate is also discussed.
