Synthesis and scale corrosion inhibition of ethane diamine double-2-hydroxy propane sulfonic acid

The synthetic methods of EDHPS, which is synthesized by epoxy chloro propane and ethane diamine, have been studied. Its structure is specified by elemental analysis, IR and 1 HNMR. Its scale and corrosion inhibitions are evaluated by methods of static test and rotary weight loss test. The testing results indicate that EDHPS has excellent scale and corrosion inhibition efficiency. It is a new kind of water treatment agent which contains lownitrogen and does not contain phosphorus.
