Optimization of the technology of treating copper-containing wastewater from printed wire board by ion exchange process

Abstract

The regeneration condition of ion exchange resin has been optimized for the copper-containing wastewater device of printed wire board. The experimental results showthat the exchanged copper volume is 26.1-29.0 kg/cyc when the regeneration liquid flow rate is 2 000 L/h and the regenerant concentration is 8.5%. When the re generation liquid is used again, the total copper is exchanged to18.5-21.3 kg/cyc and Cu 2+ rise to about 20 g/L. This technology is in favor of recovering copper and saving the regenerant.
