Optimization of the reverse osmosis pretreatment for the groundwater
Online published: 2010-10-01
The groundwater has a little suspended particles and low SDI. It is suitable for the waterhead of reverse osmosis. The groundwater has high hardness, and it easily brings the membrane scaling. Thus the key process of the reverse osmosis pretreatment for the groundwater is preventing scaling. The operation is fussy and the equipment is complicated for the softening process of pretreatment. The injecting of the antiscaling agent into the groundwater can efficiently prevent the membrane from scaling on its surface.
