Present situation and development of water treatment agents for industrial boilers

Adding chemicals to industrial boilers to prevent them from corrosion and scaling is the main way of boiler water treatment. The quality of water treatment in the boiler affects directly on its running safety and service life. Based on the analysis of the present situation of water treatment and chemicals, the development and application of water treatment agents for industrial boiler are mainly discussed. Their applying range, meritsand demerits of inorganic and organic scale inhibitors, organic colloids, inorganic and organic deoxidizers and chemicals which are discovered recently are compared and analysed. At the same time the corrosion inhibitor used in condensate water system is also discussed. The future development is prospected at the end.
