Abstract

8 typical kinds of water treatment chemicals used to control steel corrosion in circulating cooling water are investigated by using weight-loss tests. The results show that 5 factors such as the concentration of water treatment agents, calcium hardness and alkalinity, turbidity, the concentration of ironic ions and biocides have different corrosion inhibiting effects on different type of water treatment chemicals.
