Study on the coordination chemistry of PBTCA with divalent cations (Cu, Zn, Cd, Ni)in aqueous solution

By means of acid-base potentiometric titration and the BEST computer prog ram developed by A.E.M artell,the stability constants of its complexes with four divalent cations (Cu, Z n, Cd, Ni)have been studied.Acco rding to the experimental and com puting results, the distribution curves of the coordinating species in aqueous solution at different pH are gained out.the ssible effect of PBTCA on the inhibition of the above scale forming divalent cations has been discussed.
