Research on the stability,corrodibility and disinfection actions of trinary solid stable chlorine dioxide

Trinary solid stable chlorine dioxide is a new type of powerful disinfectant which possesses the properties of high efficiency and speed, low acidity and less loss of ClO2 in activating reaction. In order to learn more about the disinfectant, experiments have been carried out to study its stability, corrodibility, and disinfecting actions, etc. The results show that (1) the gain rate of ClO2 is 96.5%, acidity of activating solution is pH=4.84, and the decreasing rate of ClO2 is 3.1% followed by a storage for 14 days at (54±1) ℃; (2)its solution containing ClO2 80 mg/L can kill 100% Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus in 3~5 min, its solution containing ClO2 400 mg/L can also kill 100% Bacillus subtilis var. niger spores in 60 min, its solution containing ClO2 300 mg/L can fully destroy antigenicity of HBsAg in a 20 min contact time;(3) a solution of the disinfectant at a concentration of 800 mg/L ClO2 is essentially non corrosive to stainless steel and moderate corrosive to carbon steel, copper, and aluminum.
