Abstract:

The efficiencies of municipal wastewater treatment processes are evaluated in terms of a group of collective parameters, composition and concentration variation of micropollutants, as well as changes in acute toxicity. While the outflow of the secondary treatment based on active sludge technology can meet satisfactorily the National Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard, but a limited removal of persistent organic pollutants and acute toxicity can be expected.
