Research progress on metal oxides nanocomposite for fluoride removal from wastewater

摘要:

污水除氟是保障水质安全和人类健康的迫切需要。在各种除氟技术中,吸附法因具有操作简单、经济高效等优点得到了广泛应用。作为近些年发展起来的新型吸附材料,金属氧化物纳米复合吸附剂将纳米金属氧化物负载到多孔载体材料内,在保留纳米金属氧化物高除氟性能的同时,提高了材料的稳定性与易操作性,是一种较为理想的新型吸附材料,在污水深度除氟领域具有良好的应用前景。总结和评价了由不同纳米金属氧化物(Al、Mg、Zr、La等的氧化物)负载于多孔载体材料(大孔树脂、生物质等)内制备的不同类型纳米复合材料的除氟特性,阐释了其主要除氟机制,并对金属氧化物纳米复合材料在废水除氟领域的研究方向进行了初步展望。

Abstract:

Water defluoridation is an urgent need to guarantee the water quality safety and human health. Among several defluoridation technologies,adsorption method is the technology most commonly used due to its cost-effectiveness and ease of operation. As a new type of adsorbent developed in recent years,metal oxide nanocomposite,prepared by immobilizing nano-metal oxides into large-sized porous carrier materials,can keep the high defluoridation performance of nano-metal oxides,as well as improve their stability and operability. Thus,metal oxide nanocomposite material is an ideal new adsorption material and has huge application potential for fluoride removal from water. This paper presented an overview on the fluoride removal performances by different types of nanocomposites prepared by embedding various metal oxides(oxides of Al,Mg,Zr,La,etc.) into different host porous materials(macroporous resins,biomass,etc.),as well as elucidated their main decontamination mechanisms. Also,the prospects of the development direction concerning metal oxide nanocomposite for fluoride removal were briefly discussed.
