Eosin Y degradation by persulfate activated with mesoporous sulfur-doped activated carbon

摘要:

在不同活化温度下制备了介孔掺硫活性炭(ACS-X),通过扫描电镜(SEM)、元素分析(EA)、N2-等温吸脱附、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)等手段对其进行表征。通过建立掺硫活性炭活化过二硫酸盐(PS)降解曙红Y(EY)体系,探究了孔结构性质对活性炭吸附性能和催化性能的影响。结果表明,ACS-X的孔结构是影响活性炭吸附性能的主要因素,而活性炭的催化性能由孔结构性质和含硫官能团的存在形式及原子分数共同影响。还考察了ACS-X投加量、PS浓度、EY浓度、溶液初始pH等因素对EY废水降解效果的影响,探究了PS活化机理。结果表明,当PS浓度为3 mmol/L,ACS-800投加量为0.05 g/L,EY质量浓度为50 mg/L时,在60 min内降解率达到100%;酸性条件下ACS-800/PS体系降解EY的效果优于碱性条件;捕获实验表明体系中存在·OH、SO4·-1O2,但1O2起主导作用。

Abstract:

The mesoporous sulfur-doped activated carbon(ACS-X) was prepared at different activation temperatures. It was characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),elemental analysis(EA),N2 isothermal adsorption and desorption,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). Then the sulfur doped activated carbon was applied to activate persulfate(PS) to degrade eosin Y(EY),and the effects of pore structure on the adsorption and catalytic performance of activated carbon was investigated. Results showed that the pore structure of ACS-X was the main factor affecting its adsorption performance,while both pore structures and sulfur-containing functional groups affected its catalytic performance. The effects of ACS-X dosage,PS concentration,EY concentration,and initial pH on the degradation of EY wastewater were investigated,and the PS activation mechanism was explored. The experimental results showed that when the PS concentration was 3 mmol/L and the dosage of ACS-800 was 0.05 g/L,the degradation efficiency of 50 mg/L EY reached 100% within 60 min. The degradation efficiency of ACS-800/PS system in acidic condition was better than that in alkaline condition. The capture experiments showed that ·OH,SO4·- and 1O2 were generated in the system,but 1O2 plays a dominate role.
