Application of Fe3O4 nano-particles to the treatment of oil-bearing wastewater

摘要:

采用化学共沉淀法制备Fe3O4纳米颗粒,并对其组成和形貌进行了表征。结果表明:Fe3O4颗粒近似球形,粒径20 nm,呈立方晶型。在磁场作用下,200 mg/L的Fe3O4与150 mg/L的阳离子破乳剂LY复配使用,使模拟含油污水中的油由413.4 mg/L降至27.4 mg/L,除油率达到93.3%。Zeta电位测试表明,Fe3O4与LY复配可中和油滴表面电荷。Fe3O4用乙醇、去离子水超声水洗再生,重复使用3次,其除油率仍在60%以上。

Abstract:

Fe3O4 nanoparticles have been prepared by chemical co-precipitation method,and the composition and morphology of Fe3O4 nanoparticles characterized. The results show that Fe3O4 particles look like spheres approximately,whose grain diameter is 20 nm,in cubic crystal shape. Under magnetic field effect,200 mg/L of Fe3O4 and 150 mg/L of cationic demulsifier LY are used in combination,so as to make the oil in simulated oil-bearing wastewater be reduced from 413.4 mg/L to 27.4 mg/L,and the oil removing rate reaches 93.3%. Zeta potential test shows that the composition of Fe3O4 and LY can neutralize the electric charges on the surfaces of oil drops. Fe3O4 can be regenerated with ethanol and deionized water under ultrasonic irradiation. Its oil removing rate is still above 60%,after having been used more than three times repeatedly.
