水工业的概念有四条内涵：（1）给水与排水是一个统一体，因而决不能偏废废水处理；（2）给水排水是一门工业；（3）水工业制造业是给水排水事业的支柱工业；（4）水工业表征了给水排水的高新技术时期。水工业企业是集商品“水”的生产、供给、销售、回收、再生于一体的企业。

Abstract:

The concept of water and wastewater industry or water industry has four intentions:(1)water supply and wastewater engineering is a unity,and wastewater treatment will under no circumstances be eliminated;(2)water and wastewater trade is a real industry;(3)water industrial manufacturing industry is the pillar industry of water and wastewater trade;(4)water industry signifies the high tech era of water and wastewater trade.Accordingly,water industry has three component parts:water industrial enterprise,water industrial manufacturing industry and water industrial high tech industry.Water industrial enterprise is an integrated production supply sale collection reclamation enterprise of its commodity or product water.The author elaborates upon the concept of water industrial enterprise and the other central issues of water industry.
