Preparation of activated carbon from walnut shell and its adsorption of nitrobenzene in water

摘要:

采取NaOH活化制备核桃壳活性炭(WSAC),并考察了其对水中硝基苯的吸附性能。研究表明,WSAC的最佳制备条件:按核桃壳质量(g)与NaOH体积(mL)比2∶1投加10 mol/L的NaOH溶液,浸渍24 h,焙烧温度600℃,焙烧时间2.0 h。表征结果表明,制备的WSAC具有较丰富的官能团,并具有一定数量的孔隙。采用最佳条件下制备的WSAC处理10 mg/L的硝基苯溶液,处理出水能够达到《生活饮用水标准》(GB 5749—2006)和《污水综合排放标准》(GB 8978—1996)的要求。

Abstract:

The walnut shell activated carbon(WSAC) was prepared by NaOH activation, and its adsorption performance for nitrobenzene in water was investigated. The results showed that the best preparation conditions for WSAC were as follows: adding 10 mol/L NaOH concentration under conditions of m(walnut shell, g): v(NaOH, mL)2:1, dipping time 24 h, sintering temperature 600℃, sintering time 2.0 h. The characterization results showed that the prepared WSAC had abundant functional groups and a certain number of pores. The 10 mg/L nitrobenzene solution was treated with the prepared WSAC under the optimal condition, and the treated effluent quality conformed to the Standard for Drinking Water(GB 5749-2006) and Comprehensive Wastewater Discharge Standard(GB 8978-1996).
