滤料粒径对生物活性滤池除污染效能的影响

Effects of medium sizes on pollutant removal rate of biological activated filters

摘要:

采用两种活性炭粒径的生物活性滤池(BAF):BAF-1的滤料粒径为0.8-1.2 mm, BAF-2为1.0-2.0 mm, 探讨了滤料粒径对BAF除污染能力的影响及作用机理。结果表明, 滤料粒径对BAF除有机污染物和氨氮的能力影响较大。两组BAF除浊性能差异不大。另外, 两组BAF均能显著降低滤前水的细菌总数, 同时, BAF-1的水头损失增长速度并不高于BAF-2。采用较小粒径的BAF-1具有更高的吸附容量, 并能为微生物的生长提供更大的表面积, 因而具有更优越的饮用水除污染效能。

Abstract:

The effects ofmediumsizes on pollutants removal of biological activated filter(BAF)are discussed through two kinds of BAF with different particle diameters of activated carbon: BAF-1 with 0.8-1.2 mm and BAF-2 with 1.0-2.0 mm. Results show that medium sizes have remarkable influence on the organic substance and ammonia removal efficiencies of BAF:No distinct difference has been observed between the two kinds of BAF in respect of turbidity removal. Both of the two kinds of BAF can lower the total bacteria number in the water before filtration.Meanwhile, the increasing speed of hydraulic head loss of BAF-1 is not higher than that of BAF-2. BAF-1 with smaller particle diameter exhibits higher adsorption capacity and can provide larger surface area for microorganism development. Therefore, the pollutant removal efficiency of BAF-1 for drinking water is more excellent.
