Pilot scale study on the treatment of developer wastewater by UASB

摘要:

液晶面板显影液废水的主要污染成分是四甲基氢氧化铵(TMAH),该有机物具有强碱性和神经毒性。采用升流式厌氧污泥床(UASB)对实际显影液废水进行中试处理,考察了不同处理负荷下的TOC处理效果以及有机氮的转化效率。结果表明,在进水TMAH质量浓度为2 070~8 900 mg/L时,经UASB处理后,出水TMAH质量浓度低于0.5 mg/L,TOC去除率保持在96.4%以上;UASB不仅能有效去除显影液废水中的TMAH,还可大幅降低出水有机物浓度;UASB在高进水TMAH浓度工况下仍能长期稳定运行,得益于其高回流比对TMAH的不断稀释。稳定运行期间,UASB可将93%~97%的有机氮转化为无机氨氮,大幅降低废显影液毒性,有利于后续处理工艺进一步脱氮。研究还发现,单位TOC沼气产率为1.57~1.81 m3/kg,且沼气中CH4与CO2的体积比约为3.26。本中试试验直接运行费用(电耗和药剂)为13.22元/m3,后续工程实践还可通过回用沼气进一步降低废水处理系统运行费用。

Abstract:

Tetramethylammonium hydroxide(TMAH) is the major component of liquid crystal display developer wastewater,which is a corrosive alkaline and neuronal toxic organic compound. The up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket(UASB) was applied to treat the developer wastewater in pilot scale. The TOC removal and nitrogen transformation effect were investigated under different influent loads. The results indicated that when the influent TMAH mass concentration was 2 070-8 900 mg/L,the effluent TMAH mass concentration was lower than 0.5 mg/L after UASB treatment,and the TOC removal rate remained above 96.4%. Thus,UASB could not only effectively remove TMAH from developer wastewater,but also greatly reduce the concentration of organic matter in effluent. UASB could still run stably for a long time under the condition of high influent TMAH concentration,due to the continuous dilution of TMAH by its high reflux ratio. During stable operating period,the UASB could convert 93%-97% of organic nitrogen into inorganic ammonia nitrogen,greatly reducing the toxicity of waste developer,which was conducive to further nitrogen removal in subsequent treatment process. It was also found that biogas production rate of per TOC reached 1.57-1.81 m3/kg,and the volume ratio of CH4 and CO2 was around 3.26. The direct operating cost including power consumption and reagent of this pilot test was 13.22 yuan/m3,and the subsequent engineering practice could further reduce the operating cost of the wastewater treatment system through the reuse of biogas.
